The Youth Litter Patrol (YLP) program was founded in 1977 to assist in cleaning up highway rights-of-way.  This is a great opportunity to work outdoors in a team environment and have a role in maintaining the environment as well as learn about career opportunities at ODOT!

Litter crews primarily pick up litter along state highways although other tasks may be assigned as time allows. Litter crews usually have a crew leader with two or more crew members. Litter crews are hired as temporary employees and are not eligible for vacation, sick, personal or holiday leave.  Crews may work full-time or part-time and hours assigned may vary. Most positions typically start mid-June and may last 6-12 weeks but this varies by location.
