The fire has jumped I-84.  Fire has issued a level 1 evacuation for Rowena Dell.  High winds from the west are pushing the fire east.I-84 exit 76 is closed and Hwy 30 (adjacent to I-84) is closed in the area. Please avoid the area and allow The Dalles and Hood River Fire Departments to deal with the fire.******************************************************************************************************************************************On July 6, 2018 at approximately 6:00PM a fire broke out at the westbound Memaloose rest area.  The Dalles and Hood River Fire Departments are on scene.  The rest area will be closed for an unknown amount of time.  One building in the rest area has been damaged by fire.Memaloose State Park Campground, located west of the rest area, has not been evacuated at this time.The cause of the fire has not been determined.
