Weather Outlook: Smoke Followed by Heat
Smoke has moved into the Klamath Basin quickly this afternoon with southwest winds aloft that have developed. As of article time, the Klamath Falls Airport is showing 3 miles visibility. The winds aloft will likely keep smoke in our area until Sunday evening or Monday. It’s possible we may see even more dense smoke into Sunday.
According to the NWS, a thermal trough will develop and give us mid 90 degree weather next week. Triple digits are expected in some areas west of the cascades. Stay tuned for more updates.
