Actor George Takei best known as Sulu in the original Star Trek series and movies dined at Thai Orchid in downtown Klamath Falls last night.
George Takei is in the local area filming for a new project that will document his stay in the Tulelake internment camp during World War II. According to this article in the IMDB George and his family were sent to a camp in the Arkansas area, and then to the Tulelake camp as the war was ending.
Staff at the Thai Orchid said they enjoyed spending a couple of hours with George. A few patrons of the restaurant were able to take a photo with the famous actor.
