The Fremont-Winema NF Bly Ranger District in coordination with South Central Oregon Fire Management Partnership (SCOFMP) will be conducting prescribed fire operations starting November 7, 2018 as fuels and weather conditions permit. The following area will be treated:
Long RX (underburn) – Located 15 miles east of Bly, OR. Approximately 130 acres of prescribed fire is planned on this project over the next couple of days. Smoke from the burn may be visible from Highway 140 north of Quartz Mtn. Once started the duration of ignition and smoke production may be 3-5 days.
