Big changes are in store this weekend as the weather pattern shifts to a more fall like pattern. High temperatures will be 10-20 degrees cooler this weekend compared to recent days. Much needed rainfall will fall across the area Friday night through Saturday. Showers will continue through Sunday, then another chance for rain arrives Tuesday. Smoke and hazy conditions will improve late Friday night into Saturday as the first front moves through the area.

Snow levels will drop to around 6000 ft Saturday night, and ongoing showers could bring between 0.5” – 2” along the highest peaks. These changes aren’t expected to linger for long. Forecast data indicates a return to dry conditions is likely after this storm passes.
