On Tuesday morning, December 19, 2023 the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office was asked to conduct a welfare check regarding David “Parker” Wangsness, a 31-year-old male resident of Chiloquin, Oregon. Mr. Wangsness goes by the name of Parker. A concerned family member reported that he had not been heard from him since the previous afternoon after he’d made concerning statements. He was not immediately located and an Attempt to Locate was issued to local law enforcement agencies.
The following day (Wednesday), Parker’s vehicle was located in a remote area off of Lone Pine Road between Chiloquin, OR and Sprague River, OR. Since the vehicle was located, a number of searches have been conducted with the help of Klamath County Search and Rescue volunteers, Sheriff’s Office deputies, Klamath Community Corrections officers, and BLM Rangers. Ground and road searches were conducted as well as K-9 and drone searches with no positive results indicating his whereabouts or direction of travel.
David Parker Wangsness is described as being 6’ tall, 165 pounds, with a crew cut hairstyle (brown) and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black “Puma” sweatshirt, brown pants, and brown boots.
