KLAMATH FALLS, OR — On May 22, 2024, Sky Lakes announced the Medical Center’s newly renovated cafeteria and kitchen have opened. This renovation is a significant milestone in the health system’s ongoing facility improvements to modernize and enhance patient and staff experience.
“This is a momentous occasion for Sky Lakes Medical Center as we unveil our newly renovated cafeteria and kitchen facilities,” said David Cauble, Sky Lakes president and chief executive officer, “This project was made possible by hardworking staff and their dedication to providing the highest standard of care for our patients.”
The new cafeteria and kitchen upgrades include design and layout changes to the kitchen, serveries, and dining areas with new equipment and amenities.
“Our upgraded facilities improves the dining experience and ensures the highest standards of food safety and quality” said Tonia Henderson, director of nutrition and food services at Sky Lakes, “We are also excited to introduce a range of new menu offerings that cater to the diverse tastes and dietary needs of our patients and staff.”
The remodel began in June 2023. During the 11 months of construction, Sky Lakes created temporary kitchen and cafeteria facilities to maintain uninterrupted 24/7 meal services for patients, guests, and staff.

The new cafeteria is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for cafeteria-style service and the serveries have a variety of grab and go cold foods in the coolers. “We welcome patients, visitors, and staff to experience the new and improved cafeteria” said Cauble.
