Exclusive Report: Klamath Falls finally lands airline service with help from 173rd Fighter Wing

Southern Oregon residents will soon be able to take non stop flights to Hawaii and other destinations direct from Klamath Falls Crater Lake Regional Airport in recycled F-15 fighter jets.

Buckle up, folks! Klamath Falls has finally landed itself some airline service and is gearing up to be the first city in the U.S. to join an innovative new fighter jet recycling program under the Trump Administration. The F-15s, which have been strutting their stuff at Kingsley Field, are about to hang up their wings for the sleeker F-35 stealth fighters. And guess what? The government is throwing a multi-million-dollar grant Klamath Falls’ way to help launch this fighter jet airline service, covering startup and fuel costs. Talk about a high-flying adventure!
“Repurposing these soon to retire F-15 fighter jets from the 173rd Fighter Wing is a no-brainer,” declares the commander of the 173rd Fighter Wing. “These jets are in pristine condition, and it would be a tragedy to let them just sit around like a forgotten sock.” He adds, “We’re already crafting some chic luggage compartments to replace the bomb and missile storage areas on the aircraft.” “And yes, even the F-15 currently flexing its wings at Vets Park will be part of this exciting journey too as we deploy it to airline service.”  Tickets will be available soon, with direct flights to Hawaii and connecting services to various regional cities. Stay tuned for more thrilling destinations coming your way!

The F-15 on display at Vets Park will soon enter airline service.
