Several new small fires have started including one just north of Klamath Falls.

South-Central Oregon Fire Management Partnership (SCOFMP) Wildfire Update
SCOFMP crews remain actively engaged following a series of thunderstorms that have produced abundant lightning, resulting in 12 new wildfire starts across the region overnight. Resources are currently assigned to multiple incidents, with additions support being deployed as needed.
Current Fire Updates:
ChandlerFire – The Chandler Fire is currently 3.5 acres and is 100% dozer line completed. Fire Crews are conducting mop-up operations and securing containment lines.
Three separate fires located on Crane Mountain- Each approximately .1 acres and are visible from Hwy 140.
ChurchFire & #KellyCreekFire – Fire crews are on scene and actively working on suppression efforts.
SugarFire – Located in rugged terrain with limited road access. Smokejumpers have been ordered due to the difficult conditions.
ShellRockFire – Located north of Klamath Falls near Swan Mountain is currently 1.5 acres. Fire crews are on scene and actively engaged in suppression efforts.
Unnamed Start – Located off Highway 395 near Horse Head Mountain. Fire crews have been ordered and are enroute. A name will be given when crews arrive on scene.
With more thunderstorms expected today, fire crews will remain on high alert and ready to respond across lands managed by the South-Central Oregon Fire Management Partnership.
