Current forecast wind gusts for our region

Two strong winter storms are forecast to impact the area starting tonight and into Christmas.

The first of two waves comes tonight and will bring higher impacts through tomorrow morning. The second wave arrives tomorrow evening and continues through Friday morning. These strong winter storms will bring snow, rain and strong winds to the area through this week.

Even with all the rain that has occurred, and is still forecast, rivers still remain below flood stage. The threat for flooding is lower during these systems with lower snow levels bringing more snow to locations, but Siskiyou County would still be the spot to see the highest flooding threat. The largest threats will be found tonight into tomorrow morning, and again tomorrow night into Thursday morning. The second system will have the largest rain and snow impacts.

Klamath County currently under a high wind warning. High winds are expected by 10pm.
Current snow forecast for Wednesday at 4pm to Friday at 4am.

Minor snowfall amounts are forecast for Klamath Falls locally. Significant mountain snow could impact holiday travel.
