On February 27, 2018, at about 12:20 p.m., OSP Troopers became aware of a person making threats of violence through Twitter towards the Oregon State University and community.
Troopers and Detectives identified the owner of the username “Hard Belly Dorm” as Christopher Adam STRAHAN, age 22, of Corvallis. STRAHAN was located and contacted outside a residence in Corvallis. At about 2:30 p.m., he was taken into custody for making threats of violence towards the Oregon State University and community. He was booked and lodged at the Benton County Correctional Facility for disorderly conduct 1.
OSP was assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the OSU Department of Public Safety, Corvallis Police Department and the Benton County Mental Health Department.
At this time, there is no known threat to public safety. This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be released when available.

The tip line is purposed for those students in the PK-12 grade, however, we were able to provide information to Oregon State Police staff assigned to the Oregon State University campus to assist in the investigation.
