U.S. District Court Judge William H. Orrick has denied a motion by Klamath Water Users Association to modify a court-ordered injunction in a case of Hoopa Valley Tribe v. Bureau of Reclamation.
The new order in response to the motion was issued late Monday in a blow to hopes that more water might be made available for the 2018 irrigation season in the Klamath Basin.
Judge Orrick said he made the denial to the motion because there was lack of sufficient evidence to justify suspending or modifying the injunctions.
The big question for farmers this year is… just how much water will be available this year.
