Continuing complaints from citizens have led Klamath County Sheriff’s Office deputies to investigate more illegal marijuana grow operations. On September 28, 2018 deputies served search warrants on two such operations. Both locations were growing substantially more marijuana plants than legally permitted under current Oregon recreational or medical marijuana laws.

On a forested lot on Thunderbird Lane in Sprague River, 121 marijuana plants and two firearms were seized. This location was not a registered grow site and there were no grower cards. Dylan Phillip Fremouw (27 years of age) was charged with Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana; Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana; and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Edward Nicholas Jimenez (45 years of age) was charged with Manufacturing of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana; and Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana.

At 55820 Parazoo Trail in Bly, 102 marijuana plants, 25 large sealed bags containing processed marijuana, and three firearms were seized, along with extensive growing and packaging equipment. This also was not a registered grow site. No one was at the location upon deputies’ arrival. The investigation is continuing.
