One person killed in early morning fire in Chiloquin. First of two fires this morning.
Chiloquin fire crews were dispatched to a report of a structure fire just after 7am today in the 200 block of Chiloquin Blvd. This is to the east of the Fuel Commander gas station.
A short time later the fire department arrived on scene, and received preliminary information that all occupants were out of the structure. The house, a manufactured mobile home was reported to be fully involved in flames.
The fire was quickly contained and controlled by Chiloquin fire. During the course of putting the fire out, a male victim was found. The male victim who is not yet identified has been confirmed deceased. A Chiloquin Fire spokesperson also stated that two dogs were deceased from the fire, but the fire department was able to save two of them.
The incident has been referred to the Oregon State Fire Marshall and Klamath County District 1 investigators. The fire incident is being investigated. More information will be updated as it becomes available.

A short time later Klamath County Fire District 1 was dispatched to a report of a fire at a commercial building at Wall Street and Esplanade. A small fire was contained and put out at a taco restaurant across from Green Blade Bakery. Streets in the vicinity were blocked and closed off while fire fighters contained the fire.
