A Klamath Alerts member wanted to share the following phone message that was transcribed from a recent voicemail. Calls like this have been circulating for some time and are an attempt to get personal information and payments from unsuspecting people who are led to believe they are in legal trouble. While this may seem obvious to some people, there are many victims from calls like this every year.
Most phone manufacturers have the ability to block numbers in their software from scam callers so they can’t call you again. You may also report calls like this at the Do Not Call Registry
