UPDATE- August 10, 2019. Good morning. The Klamath National Forest experienced thunderstorm activity yesterday afternoon and evening that resulted in 14 new fires.

All of these fires are less than one acre in size, with most being a tenth of an acre. Firefighters are on scene of ten of the fires, and are making their way in to the other four.

All districts reported receiving significant moisture with these storms. More storms are in the forecast for today and firefighters are prepared to respond to any new starts.
