Upcoming Late Summer Heatwave Could Last Into September

The NWS Medford says a short cool down on Wednesday will be replaced by an upcoming heat wave late this week that is likely to last into September.

Temperatures in the low to mid 90’s are expected for Klamath Falls toward the weekend after the Wednesday cool down. Very hot and dry conditions with higher temperatures are expected next week.

This could bring the hottest weather of the season so far with 100 degrees or higher possible at times in the valleys west of the Cascades. Records could also be challenged with heat-related impacts.
