Road Construction Updates Week Of August 26th, 2019
For: City of Klamath Falls and Klamath County
CITY STREET MAINTENANCE
Streets Division crews will be performing work during the hours of 4 a.m. through 4 p.m. The Streets Staff would like to thank our citizens in advance for proceeding with caution in areas where crews are working. Work may be delayed due to weather, equipment breakdown or unexpected emergencies.
Asphalt crew 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.
August 26 – 29, 2019 August 26 – Street Crew will be working in the intersections of Leroy and Pacific Terrace repairing roadway, digging out, rebasing and paving.
August 27 – Street Crews will be digging out and repairing sections of Richmond Ave., Shasta Way and East Main St.
August 28, 29 – Street Crews will be continuing crack patching, cutting weeds and cleaning in the right of way in the Presidents area.
Sign and Paint crew 4 a.m. to 2 p.m. (possible weather delays)
August 27 – 30, 2019 4 a.m. to 7 a.m.
4 a.m. – 7 a.m. Crosswalks, legends, parking stalls and curbs on Main St. and Klamath Ave.
7 a.m. – 2 p.m. Paint crews will continue with re- striping legends and crosswalks around all City schools Sign Maintenance and Street Sweeping as needed.
2019 Chip Seal Project 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Klamath County Public Works Road Department will be Chip Sealing in the following areas for the City of Klamath Falls:
Pelican City, Quarry St., Coli Ave., Rickenbacker, Acosta St., Chelsea St., Pelican St., Lindberg St., Harvard St., Angle St., Front St., Kiln St., Thrall St., Soquel St., W Oregon Ave., Iowa St., Princeton St., all N of Nevada St. and California Ave from 97 S onramp to end.
The fog seal will be applied at a later date.
ODOT Updates:
OR 140: Green Springs Intch – Klamath Falls / Malin Highway Section (South Klamath Falls Highway MP 5.97) – Sign work at intersection of highway 140 and highway 66, expect minor delays.
Lake Ewauna Trail: Klamath Avenue – Spring Street (City of Klamath Falls) – No work or delay expected on this project this week.
FFO-US 97: Passing Lanes Project (The Dalles – California Highway MP 180 – MP 212) – Earthwork, bridge work and survey work. Bridge work during the day, Monday – Friday, expect minor delays. Earthwork and aggregate placement during the night, Sunday – Thursday from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., expect 20 minute delays.
