OSP makes traffic stop on Highway 140 East near Highway 70. The traffic stop led to a search warrant and arrest for illegal amounts of marijuana and importing/exporting.
A vehicle was stopped for two traffic violations. It was discovered the driver was driving while suspended. The driver (Hernandez) was issued a citation for DWS and released. After the traffic stop, the driver was contacted during a mere encounter. Several factors of criminal activity were observed. A telephonic warrant was obtained, and the vehicle was searched. Approximately 132.7 pounds of marijuana and 3.5 pounds of marijuana extract were located. The driver was lodged in the Klamath County Jail.
Incident occurred 11-18-19 in the morning. Suspect lodged around 3:54pm.
