It appears that summer may finally be making it’s way to the Klamath Falls area. After many cold and windy days, a major pattern shift is now happening. As a summer pattern begins to develop today, the NWS Medford would like to remind everyone that local water temperatures are still low.

After one last cool and showery day yesterday, our pattern will change and southern Oregon and northern California will begin a warming and drying trend. Here’s a look at some of the forecast highs through the end of the week. Remember, even though temperatures are getting hot again, rivers are still running very cold. If you plan on recreating in or near water, wear a lifejacket.
