The NWS says we can expect a very hot temperatures in the region into the this weekend. The current projected high for Klamath Falls today is now 95 degrees.  Highs similar to what we see today are expected this Friday as well. A short cool down may occur later this weekend.

It is going to be hot across southern Oregon and northern California today and tomorrow. We have a heat advisory for many of our West Side Valleys where we are expecting the greatest risk for heat-related impacts. This includes heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Remember, do drink plenty of water. Wear light colored and light weight clothing, and make sure pets have shade and water. Remember to beat the heat and check the backseat for children and pets. Lastly, take frequent breaks when outside.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible Tuesday over Northern California and from the Cascades east. Lightning, small hail, and gusty winds are possible with these storms. When Thunder Roars, Go Indoors!
