KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Klamath County Public Health (KCPH) officials report 30 new cases and one death. The total number of cases is now 3,103. Deaths number 57.
A 78-year-old man died March 31 at Sky Lakes Medical Center. He had underlying health conditions.
There are 17 cases to date this week.
On Saturday, there were 13 new cases assigned to the county. In the week that concluded Saturday, Klamath County had a total of 109 new COVID-19 cases.
It is anticipated that Klamath County will move to the “extreme risk level” on Friday. Klamath County was allowed to remain in “moderate risk” for a two-week pause, although case numbers had increased.
In the last two weeks, Klamath County had 179 cases. High risk is between 68 and 135 cases, with moderate between 34 and 67.
The official news release from Governor Brown will be distributed Tuesday.
The increase in cases is directly related to larger households all testing positive. There was one large community event that resulted in positive cases.
