In the Klamath Falls City Schools we are very excited that we will be starting school with full- day, five-day, in-person learning in September. We will implement robust mitigation strategies to keep our staff and students safe and healthy. We must make safety our highest priority this fall.

The Oregon Department of Education updated our Ready Schools, Safe Learners Resiliency Framework for the 2021-22 school year on August 17, 2021. The updated framework is available HERE. KFCS will utilize the guidance in the Resiliency Framework along with our mitigation strategies to provide the safest possible leaning environment during the pandemic. KFCS will follow all health and safety requirements that have been put in place by the ODE and OHA.

These are unprecedented times for all of us. We are working with our local Health Authority and the Oregon Health Authority to learn as much about fighting the Delta Variant while simultaneously providing a world class education for our students in-person.

We are Klamath Strong!

Stay Safe,

Keith A. Brown, Superintendent
