As the Summer Season is approaching fast, we are finding ourselves in a similar tough situation that many other pools are experiencing. Our staff is very dedicated to the pool and put in all their efforts. We seem to be in a Lifeguard shortage ourselves, along with many Public pools in Oregon, and all around the US.
We thank you for your patience with us as we go along our Summer Season. With the shortage, we will still be open for our typical Summer Hours, but we will not be able to have as many patrons swimming at one time as in the past. For example, for every 25 patrons at the Facility, we need 1 guard on rotation. For 100 people, we would need 4 guards on stand, and 1 off stand for rotations and safe measures to happen appropriately.
We have a Lifeguard Course coming up in July if you or anyone you know is interested, please sign up!! We are offering Scholarships for participants that would cover the cost of the course.
