KLAMATH FALLS, OR – MAY 5, 2023 – On Wednesday May 31, 2023, Water/Geothermal Division crews will be shutting down the geothermal system for the summer season.
On May 31, 2023 crews will turn off the downtown geothermal infrastructure to allow for inspections and preventive maintenance. The Division’s goal is to have all maintenance completed and the system fully operational by October 2, 2023. During the time the
system is off, customers will need to utilize their secondary heat source until the system is recharged and back in service in the Fall.
Water/Geothermal Division Staff would like to thank our citizens in advance for their patience during this maintenance down time.
