January 14th, 2024 – Klamath Falls

Spectrum services in Klamath Falls have been down for many customers since the early morning hours Sunday. Internet, TV, and phone services are down.

Danielle Dunn a communications director with Spectrum told us the outage is due to a damaged fiber optic line that belongs to a third party.

“Damage to a third-party carrier’s fiber optic network is impacting service for Spectrum customers in Klamath Falls. Our engineering team has engaged that carrier and crews are actively working to repair the damage as quickly as possible.”

As of posting time there is no time estimate for when services will be restored. Some local business have closed today because they are unable to run credit cards. Some ATM machines have also been reported down. Local cellular towers have been overwhelmed with traffic slowing internet and data speeds on the local cellular network for many residents.

If any additional information is provided we will update this post.

**Most services appear to be restored at 5:15pm**
