All Klamath County School District schools will dismiss students 3-1/2 hours early today, Feb. 29, 2024, due to inclement weather and the incoming storm system. Buses will arrive at their home drop-off stops 3-1/2 hours earlier than their regular time. Students will not have time to eat lunch before dismissal. Falcon Heights afternoon session is canceled.

An absolutely unnecessary action!
That decion was beyond upsurd when we had dry pavement and the snow that came was very wet. Meanwhile, parents, students and employers were severly stressed and inconvenienced to rearrange their day for absolutely no reason. Whoever made that decision should be fired. We saw days in January where there was a sheet of ice everywhere for several days, and schools stayed open!
