On March 30, 2023 deputies responded to 10807 Needle Dam Road in Keno, Oregon on a report of an unresponsive female juvenile. Fallon Murdock (Age: 14) was located unresponsive in a bathtub and surrounded by squalor. She was rushed by ambulance to Sky Lakes Medical Center where she passed away.

The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office thoroughly investigated the circumstances surrounding the death of Fallon Murdock. After an autopsy, and with the assistance of the Oregon State Police Crime Lab, Fallon Murdock’s death was ruled a homicide by medical neglect.

Parents Christopher Murdock (Age: 35) and Karana Murdock (Age: 32), were deemed criminally responsible for the death of Fallon Murdock, and for the criminal mistreatment of their other minor children. Arrest warrants for Christopher and Karana Murdock were issued for the crimes of:


• Manslaughter in the First Degree, ORS 163.118

• Criminal Mistreatment in the First Degree (x5), ORS 163.205

• Strangulation, ORS 163.187

• Harassment (x2), ORS 166.065

• Endangering the Welfare of a Minor (x5), ORS 16.575

On June 5, 2024 both Christopher and Karana Murdock were arrested and lodged at the Klamath County Jail with zero bail.
