The whole family will be able to shoot real cannons, throw Mountain Men’s axes and knives, watch blacksmiths at work and witness Army and civilian life on the Civil War-era frontier at Fort Klamath Living History Days, August 17-18.
The Cascade Civil War Society (CCWS) and the Klamath County Museums are partnering to offer these activities, including Bang for Bucks with Civil War cannons, and othersamples of 1800s living at a variety of learning stations at the Fort Klamath Museum 9 a.m.to 5 p.m., Saturday, August 17 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, August 18.
A recruitment booth for the CCWS will be available to people who want the join the club and its living history fun.
