Klamath County, Ore 17 – On Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 9:33 a.m., Oregon State Police responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on Hwy 97, near milepost 272, in Klamath County.
The preliminary investigation indicated southbound Freightliner and trailer, operated by Usman Ahmad (36) of Sacramento (CA), struck a pedestrian, Christian Lee Cleven Corwin (38) of Klamath Falls, who entered the lane of travel.
The pedestrian (Cleven Corwin) was declared deceased at the scene.
The operator of the Freightliner (Ahmad) was not injured.
The highway was impacted for approximately one hour during the on-scene investigation.
OSP was assisted by the Klamath County Fire District 1, Klamath Falls Police Department, and ODOT.
Why was the pedestrian on the highway????
He was my friend and committed suicide. Because he was facing 4 yrs in prison. Really sad.

He was found guilty by a jury of his peers on 30 felonies. I’m sorry for your loss, but this was all 100% a situation of his making.
Given the grotesque, inexcusable torture and suffering he caused to hundreds of animals, he should have already been in custody, serving hard labor in prison, for 10 consecutive life sentences
