KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, members of the Basin Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (BINET) arrested Chiloquin resident Anthony DEBORTOLI (46), in the 500 Block of South Third Avenue in Chiloquin, Oregon, regarding DEBORTOLI distributing Methamphetamine in Klamath County. BINET has been investigating DEBORTOLI as an upper-level methamphetamine supplier in the Klamath Basin. BINET, along with the Oregon State Police (OSP) Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, served a search warrant at DEBORTOLI’s Chiloquin residence during the early morning hours of November 19, 2024. DEBORTOLI attempted to evade capture by law enforcement for more than three (3) hours by hiding in the crawl space of the residence.
OSP SWAT located DEBORTOLI and safely took him into custody. BINET searched DEBORTOLI’s residence and seized more than two (2) pounds of suspected Methamphetamine, United States Currency believed to be the proceeds of sales of Methamphetamine, evidence of distribution of controlled substances, and nine (9) firearms.
DEBORTOLI was lodged at the Klamath County Jail on charges of:
- ORS 475.894 – Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine
- ORS 475.892 – Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamine within 1,000 Feet of a School
- ORS 475.888 – Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine within 1,000 Feet of a School
- ORS 166.270 – Felon in Possession of a Firearm (Nine Counts)
- ORS 144.350 – Parole Violation
- ORS 137.050 – Failure to Appear – Bench Warrant
