On Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 11:02 p.m., patrol officers from the Klamath Falls Police Department responded to 2328 Biehn Street in Klamath Falls on a report of a shooting. Jai Jackson, twenty-three (23) years old, had called 9-1-1 and reported he had been shot in the chest. When officers arrived on scene, life-saving measures were administered but Jai Jackson had succumbed to his injuries. Detectives from the Investigations Unit were called out and the Klamath County Major Crime Team was activated. During the investigation, witnesses were located and reported Jackson got into a physical altercation with two other men, and one of them had shot him in the chest. The suspects were identified as Malacky Rodgers and Garin Riddle Jr, both are twenty (20) years old. After the shooting, both Rodgers and Riddle Jr. fled the scene.
On Saturday, March 1, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Malacky Rodgers was located and taken into custody. A short time later, Garrin Riddle Jr. was also located and taken into custody, both without further incident. Rodgers was lodged at the Klamath County Jail for a parole violation, and Riddle Jr. was lodged for Murder in the 2nd degree. The Klamath Falls Police Department would like to thank the community for their assistance in bringing these two men to justice.
