Klamath Falls, OR –Wednesday November 26, 2025Klamath Falls, OR — Sky Lakes is proud to announce a new partnership with the Klamath Falls City Police Department, introducing the organization’s first-ever Hospital Resource Officer. Officer Jeff Hutcheson will begin this role on Monday, December 1, 2025. 

Officer Hutcheson will remain a full-time Klamath Falls Police Department employee, with his designated patrol location based at Sky Lakes Medical Center. This structure ensures seamless collaboration between both agencies while providing dedicated on-site law enforcement support for the hospital campus. 

Officer Hutcheson brings decades of law enforcement experience to the position, having served the Klamath Falls Police Department since 1993. Throughout his distinguished career, he has earned a reputation for integrity, professionalism, and exceptional service to the community. 


“Jeff brings a tremendous amount of law enforcement experience from his lengthy career with the police department. I have always known Jeff to be an outstanding police officer and an outstanding person,” said Dennis Davenport, Sky Lakes Director of Safety and ER Management, who has known Hutcheson since the start of his career. “He has done a lot of great things at the police department and has maintained an impeccable reputation throughout his entire career.” 

The Hospital Resource Officer role represents a new collaborative effort between Sky Lakes and Klamath Falls Police to strengthen safety, communication, and responsiveness across the medical campus. The position is designed to support both patients and staff by offering: 

  • Faster response times to safety and security needs on the hospital campus 
  • Reduced pressure on the police department’s patrol division
  • Enhanced collaboration between healthcare teams and law enforcement 
  • A visible, proactive presence that helps deter harmful or disruptive behaviors
