Please help us welcome Brandon Thueson to Klamath Falls as the District’s new Fire Marshal. Chief Thueson comes to us with 21 years of experience in the fire service, having served in many capacities throughout his career, including working on ambulances, apparatus driver and station captain. During his service as a Fire Marshal in the state of Utah, he served as the president of the Fire Marshals Association of Utah, assisted in the development of the state’s Fire Investigator 1 and Fire Inspector 1 curriculums, and was an Adjunct Instructor for the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy.

He holds an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science from Utah Valley University where he graduated with honors. He is a certified fire and explosion investigator and has investigated hundreds of fires ranging from grass fires to large commercial property fires. In 2016 he attended the Weber State Police Academy and became a certified Special Functions Officer within the state of Utah and was the first fire marshal in Weber County to be law enforcement qualified.


Chief Thueson moved to the area with his wife, and 3 children. When not working, they enjoy spending time together hiking and camping. He is looking forward to meeting and working with everyone and becoming a part of the community.
