On Christmas Eve at about 11:30pm a single vehicle accident (SUV into tree) was reported on Crescent cutoff road near mile post 1. According to reports a 60 year old male and a dog were the sole occupants. The male driver was reported to have his arm lodged between the car and the tree in the windshield and was bleeding severely. The male driver was also reported to have a head laceration.
OSP and fire rescue responded. An air ambulance helicopter was requested to the scene. The helicopter was unable to fly due to bad weather conditions.
Emergency fire crews extricated the driver and he was transported by ground ambulance to Bend. At the present time no additional information is available about this accident.
