Thursday morning at about 1:52am, A Klamath County Sheriff Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle near Altamont and Hilyard. The person driving the vehicle fled the deputy and tried to elude him.
The chase which only reached speeds of around 45mph went from Altamont and Hilyard north to 6th Street. The suspect then turned on Arthur and stopped near Arthur and Alva. The suspect was then taken into custody. Klamath Falls City Police aided in the arrest.
During the investigation it was discovered that the suspect was wanted on an outstanding warrant. The suspect was lodged in the Klamath County Jail.
MENDEZ, JUAN ANTONIO was arrested after an early morning pursuit today.
