The Klamath Falls Police Department has received information from the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) that due to a high level of precipitation, an abnormal level of water will be let off into the Link River. Pacific Power has posted signage on the Link River Trail warning pedestrians of the high water danger.
Property owners along the Link River and Lake Ewauna should use caution along their property, due to the high water flows. Normal flows are reported to be approximately 1400 Cubic Feet per Second (CFS), flows are expected to increase over the next few days to an excess of 6000 CFS.
We are awaiting a media release from BOR which we will post when it becomes available.
Please direct all inquiries to the Bureau of Reclamation.
