Christian Music Artist Ryan Stevenson From Bonanza Has Van, Trailer, and Equipment Stolen in Sacramento Area. Within 5 days he was fully funded for new equipment by donations.

You may recall our May 1st post about Ryan Stevenson visiting Bonanza High School while on his West Coast Tour.

About two weeks ago, Stevenson was finishing up his concert tour and the band was staying at a hotel in the Sacramento, CA area. While the band was sleeping, thieves stole the van, trailer, and an estimated $60,000 worth of concert equipment from the hotel parking lot.

Sacramento police recovered the van and trailer, but the van had been stripped and all of the equipment was gone.

A recent Facebook post by Ryan Stevenson said:

“Our van and trailer was stolen during the night from a hotel parking lot while we were asleep. We lost literally everything, and none of our insurances are covering the loss….I’ve had a very heavy heart, and have been embarrassed and discouraged about this ordeal. I haven’t said anything publicly, as I’ve been waiting on the final outcome of the insurance. Sacramento Police finally found the van & trailer, but both had been totally stripped, and in separate locations. No property was recovered at all!”

Ryan’s home church in Boise, ID “Vertical Church” stepped in and coordinated donations for the band to help recover from the theft. A recent Twitter post by Ryan indicates they have been fully funded within 5 days after the church began accepting donations. Although the equipment is now being replaced a lot of work is still ahead setting everything up the way it was.

Below is an earlier video interview about the incident.
