The Klamath County Major Crime Team continues to investigate a homicide. Two arrested so far. A possible involved suspect was chased in northern Klamath County yesterday.
A homicide investigation continues in what local media are reporting as a “murder for hire plot”. As of posting time two have been arrested and one (possible) additional suspect was chased yesterday in northern Klamath County.
Timeline Update:
About two to three weeks ago: Sheriff’s Office begins investigation of missing person report. The homicide victim is reported to be the missing person.
December 23rd: A body is recovered in a pond area near Falcon Heights.
December 24th: Police investigators develop probable cause and make two arrests in connection with the homicide investigation.
COREY NICHOLAS AGARD – Arrested at Klamath County Jail 12-24-19
Arrested on several charges 12-19 (warrant, littering, elude police, stolen vehicle… to name a few). Total of 26 charges spanning from 12-19. Some have been dropped or cleared. Agard was involved in a recent pursuit with OSP unrelated to the homicide.
Arrested December 24th on the following new charges (was at Klamath County Jail when arrested on these new charges).
- Aggravated murder
- Criminal conspiracy 2
- Unlawful use of weapon
- Felon in possession of weapon
- Abuse of corpse (first degree)
- Tampering with evidence (multi count)
Tori Devin Hill – Arrested at 422 Main Street 12-24-19
Current Charges:

December 26th: Local media reports this homicide as a murder for hire plot. An Oregon State Police Trooper spots an additional person of interest possibly involved in this homicide in northern Klamath County. The suspect is described as White male, 20’s or 30’s, 6-02, shaved head, heavy tattoos, wearing baseball style cap, light black zippered jacket, jeans.
“On the afternoon of December 26th, Our Trooper recognized a person of interest in a homicide. A short pursuit and then the person fled on foot. The area was checked for several hours with several agencies assisting and they were unable to locate the subject…”
The person of interest was spotted in the area of Highway 97 and mile post 186 (Crescent area) according to state police radio traffic. A multi agency manhunt went on for several hours in the area last night. It is currently unknown if the suspect is still located there.
According to OSP, the person of interest is connected to a homicide that happened in Klamath County. They did not confirm it is the same homicide case listed above.
As of posting time the Klamath County D.A. office has not responded to our requests for additional information on the case. We will update as more information is obtained.
