Sage Community School in Chiloquin, Oregon has announced that the school will close. The school made a statement this morning about the upcoming closure:
“First, let me start with the mold. The recent mold testing that was completed at Sage came back negative, which means the kiddos and staff weren’t exposed to mold toxins.
However, it is with a heavy heart (from myself and the entire staff and board) that I tell you this. Due to staffing issues, the board of directors reluctantly has made the decision to close the school. The decision was not made lightly, but because the staff and board felt that the remaining personnel could not effectively carry out the education mission that Sage has been known for, we will close effective immediately.
A more detailed media release will be issued later today.
Personally, I want to extend my own personal apologies to everyone. I have enjoyed my 8-1/2 years at Sage and I want to thank you for trusting us and sharing your children with us. Give your kiddos a great big hug from all of us at Sage and tell them that everything will be ok!
“When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us”. -Alexander Graham Bell”
Klamath Alerts has been in contact with the school and will post additional information with an expected press release later today.
