KLAMATH FALLS, OR – December 1, 2023. As many of our citizens have heard, the Grinch has tried to steal Christmas from downtown Klamath Falls. Over the weekend heartless vandals cut all the lighting wires, leaving the tree in darkness and casting a shadow over the upcoming Snowflake Festival. This despicable act of destruction not only targeted a symbol of joy and unity but also disrupted a cherished community event. However, the City wants to assure its residents that this setback will not deter us from spreading holiday cheer and celebrating the spirit of togetherness. City staff will be moving the tree that is currently placed at the City Annex to Klamath Commons. This is a laborious process and will take multiple City Divisions to complete in time for the ceremony but staff is determined that the show must go on.

The City would like to extend its gratitude to the community for their ongoing support and understanding during this challenging time. We encourage everyone to remain vigilant and report any information that may aid in the investigation.

We hope to see you all Monday, December 4, 2023, 6pm at Klamath Commons
