Bend Woman Gets Years in Jail for Drugging Daycare Kids
January Neatherlin was sentenced this last Friday after pleading guilty earlier last month to 11 counts of first-degree criminal mistreatment and a count of third-degree assault.
Neatherlin is accused of drugging the children left in her care at an illegal daycare operation she ran in Bend, OR. It is alleged that Neatherlin gave children as young as six months old melatonin to induce them to sleep. She would then go to Crossfit or tanning while they were left unattended at her “Little Giggles” daycare center. It is reported that Neatherlin also told parents of the children in her care that she was a nurse, which turned out to be false.
Neatherlin will spend decades in prison for these crimes.
